Parts of a story!
Setting is where and when a story takes place. There is a big different between "It was a dark and stormy night at the haunted house" and "Once upon a time, there was a magical forest..." Setting has a big impact on the story.
The characters are the people, animals, or even trees that are in the story. There are different types of characters. The protagonist is the main character(s) in the story that wants something or has to do something.
Conflict is the problem in the story. Problems can be internal (a character deciding if they should tell the truth or tell a lie) or external (the Avengers trying to stop Thanos).
Resolution is how the conflict is solved. In superhero movies, often the problem is solved by clever plans and heroic fights and the characters live happily ever after.
The plot is the actual story around which the entire book is based. A plot should have a very clear beginning, middle, and end.
